Who bears the risk if the goods are damaged in transit? That\u2019s why Incoterms rules help both parties have a clear <strong>framework for cooperation<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are Incoterms 2020 rules?<br\/><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"\">Incoterms (short for <em>International Commercial Terms<\/em>) were first introduced in 1936 by the International Chamber of Commerce (<a href=\"https:\/\/iccwbo.org\/business-solutions\/incoterms-rules\/incoterms-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ICC<\/a>). Since then, they have been regularly updated to keep pace with developments in global trade.<br\/> <br\/>  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"\">The latest version, <strong>Incoterms 2020<\/strong> <strong>rules<\/strong>, came into effect on January 1, 2020, introducing several important changes compared to the previous 2010 version.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Main changes in Incoterms 2020<\/h2>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. New rule: DPU (Delivered at Place Unloaded)  <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"\">DPU (Delivered Place Unloaded) replaces the old DAT (Delivered at Terminal) rule. The seller is now responsible for unloading the goods at the agreed location, which offers greater flexibility in choosing the delivery location. <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2.
